My Book filled weekend

My weekend started off with receiving my Class of 2k11 July giveaway, Memento Nora by Angie Smibert.  I love all the little goodies that came with it, especially my little troll doll.  I LOVE the tiny troll dolls when I was younger.

Then I had a great lunch with Cari and Christin before hearing Rosemary Clement More read from Texas Gothic at Murder by the Book.  Check out Cari's blog for more pictures of our adventures on Saturday.

In an effort to build my classroom library and promote authors that are coming to our school, I braved the YA section at borders.  Now not all the books in the picture on Cari's blog were bought....she was awesome enough to give me a few middle grades books.  So here are my finds:
Thanks to Cari for this group of books! I know my students will enjoy them!

These lovely books were ones I found at Borders.  Since my campus is lucky enough to have these authors and a few others (still looking for their books) visit at the end of September, I wanted to have them in my classroom to share with my students.

And these were just because.  I LOVE Cinda Williams Chima's books, so I had to get The Wizard Heir for my collection.  As a math teacher, I couldn't pass up 50 mathematical ideas you really need to know.  And since it was Borders, I couldn't let Ally Carter's Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy be all alone on the shelf.
